Star of the Sea School now offers Band for 4-8th graders. Band meets twice a week, on Monday and Wednesday mornings, from 7:15 to 7:45 in the music room. Beginning instruction is offered for all the traditional school band instruments, including flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, french horn, baritone, tuba, and percussion. (Percussionists will play both drums and xylophone.) No experience is necessary! Students will perform in two concerts each year: one at Christmas time and one in the Spring. There may be other performance opportunities as well, including city-wide honor band, combined Catholic School concerts and a variety of camps, ensembles, and lessons over the summer.
