Mrs. Myriam Traub graduated from Old Dominion University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and a minor in French. She is also certified to teach both languages. She has taught in the Virginia Beach school system as a high school teacher, and has been an adjunct professor at Tidewater Community College and Old Dominion University. Because of her ability to speak both English and Spanish fluently, she has worked as an interpreter and a translator. She has worked with the Virginia Beach courts system as an interpreter, and has also been a translator with a private company in Norfolk. Mrs. Traub was born in Colombia, South America and is very proud of her Hispanic heritage. Currently, she is a middle school teacher at Star of the Sea Catholic School, and enjoys teaching both Spanish and Religion. She encourages her students to be strong in their faith and to live it outside the classroom.
Mrs. Traub is also very proud of her five children and loves to spend time with her twelve grandchildren. Her husband is also a teacher so they spend their summer traveling which is something they both love to do.
