Mrs. Socha has been part of the Star of the Sea Community since 1989. She has been sharing her faith and love of learning for 27 years.

Originally from the Windy City of Chicago, she is a graduate of Catholic schools from first grade through graduating from Loyola University of Chicago. She continued her studies in the Teacher's Education Program at the University of Iowa.

Mrs. Socha relocated to Virginia Beach with her husband, a professor at Old Dominion University. Her daughter is a graduate of Star of the Sea, and her son is a seventh grader.

Mrs. Socha is proud to play a part in the growth and development of primary education in Catholic schools. She believes that when children are surrounded by faith and love they will flourish. It is rewarding for her to teach with a community of faith filled families, who together with Star of the Sea School form a strong Christ-centered foundation. ekflk
