Mrs. Mitchell may be new to the area but has been teaching for over seven years. She is a graduate of Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in Elementary Education. While in Chicago where she grew up, she started teaching algebra and pre-algebra in the eighth grade, then was an upper grades math lab teacher. After she moved to Hawaii with her husband and son, she then taught math and science at the middle school level.
Mrs. Mitchell believes in the family-orientated spirit of Catholic schools and is proud to aid in the development of the young minds that have passed through their doors. She believes that children learn best by “doing” and encourages open communication with both parents and students in her classroom.
