NOAA
On Thursday, June 7, 2007, nine Star of the Sea School sixth (current seventh) grade students made history by presenting at the first National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) headquarters in Silver Spring, Maryland.
The students did a fabulous job presenting their Cargo-A-Go-Go PowerPoint© projects to NOAA officials and to other students in this pilot program. The project incorporated NOAA's real time data as well as information about ocean currents, weather maps, wind barbs and cargo ships.
I would like to thank everyone for their support during this exciting adventure! We really had a wonderful time and I look forward to compleing this project again this school year! Please stop by the offcie to see a small presentation board about our trip.
