Dear Parents, Friends and Family,

Our 2008 Annual Auction, “BLACK TIE & BLUE JEANS” is set for Saturday, April 12th at The Cavalier Beach Club. We are expecting a great turn out to celebrate and to participate in this fundraiser to benefit each and every student at Star of the Sea School. Parents and volunteers spend hundreds of hours planning and organizing this event.

There are few causes as worthy as education. Star of the Sea is poised to set the stage for developing our leaders of tomorrow. This year’s Annual Auction and dinner is the school’s signature fundraising event. Please plan on coming and helping this year’s Auction Committees reach their goal of raising $100,000. The money raised goes to support the general operating budget which in turn supports every aspect of Star of the Sea.

I would like to take a moment to praise the efforts of our incredible faculty and staff for nurturing our children and providing them with the well rounded educational experience each and every day. Along with that goes a special thank you to Mrs. Fentress who completes our circle of our Star of the Sea family. Daily she guides and nurtures her staff and continues to do the same with us as parents and families of Star of the Sea. Thank you to all of our donors and sponsors and to all of the hundreds of volunteers that have come together to make this evening the celebration it promises to be.

It has been a privilege to be a part of such a wonderful event. I am truly honored to be this year’s Auction Chair and I hope each of you enjoy the celebration as much as I have enjoyed planning our “BLACK TIE & BLUE JEANS” 8th Annual Benefit Auction.
