SCRIP is just a fancy way to say “gift card”. By buying gift cards from $tar Dollars for $cholars, you are getting name brand quality gift cards and Star of the Sea generates revenue from the sale. You can use gift cards to make everyday purchases from grocery stores, restaurants, clothing stores and gas. |

How does SCRIP generate revenue for Star of the Sea?

$tar Dollars for $cholars is able to purchase national and local retailers’ gift cards at a discount. We sell those cards at face value. The discount is the school’s source of revenue. The beauty of this program is that you spend money that you would have spent anyway. By buying gift cards to make your regular purchases, you are helping the school at no cost to you! |

How do I participate in $tar Dollars for $cholars? |

Two exciting ways, in the Wednesday envelope or Online!! |

Starting this Fall there will be two ways to order SCRIP. The first is to find your pink $tar Dollars for $cholars order form that is sent home in the Wednesday envelope. Simply fill out the form, include your payment and send it back in the Wednesday envelope. The SCRIP volunteers will process your order and send it home with your child or you may pick it up from the office. |

The second way is to create an account with www.shopwithscrip.com and place your order using their easy online order form. After submitting your order, simply print out your order and send it into the office with your payment. The volunteers will process your order and send it home with your child or have it waiting in the office for you to pick up.
