SCHOOL FACILITIES and AMENITIES

Star of the Sea Catholic School is a Virginia Catholic Education Association (VCEA) and Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) accredited school. It is located in southeastern Virginia Beach. The school opened in 1958 and was staffed by the Sisters, Immaculate Heart of Mary, IHM until 1996. Although, no longer at the school, students and faculty still enjoy the teachings and inspirations of the IHM. The school campus is within walking distance of the Atlantic Ocean. The campus is divided into:

• The Main Building: Grades Pre-Kindergarten through Fourth, Art/Music Rooms, Library and Computer Lab, Title 1 Teacher, School Counselor and Full-time Clinic staffed by a licensed RN
• The Gym Building: Grade 5, Administrative Offices, Gymnasium and Performing Arts Stage, Kitchen and Dining Room
• Out Buildings: Junior High.

Star of the Sea Catholic Church is implementing Phase 1 of a parish expansion, including new classrooms and a full-service Kitchen and Dining Room.
