Cargo-A-Go-Go!

Nine sixth grade students presented at the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration's WaterWays Student Conference on Thursday, June 7. The students have been studying and preparing for this pilot program and have volunteered to postpone their summer vacation to present with

Junior High Science Coordinator and teacher, Ms. Hampton, at this first-ever conference.

Mrs. Paul's First Grade class wanted to buy animals from Heifer International. One enterprising student contributed the proceeds from her lemonade stand of $50.00 to the class' Lenten Fund, bringing their total to $140.00. They decided as a class which animals to buy.  Way to go!

With the help and advice from Art teacher, Mrs. Carlson, Mrs. Maas' sixth grade class designed, wrote and illustrated Space-Mail, Postcards from Space. This wonderful book is available for purchase at blurb.com! Click on Preview Book to get a glimpse inside.

The Relay for Life event took place June 2-3 at Redwing Recreational Park in Virginia Beach. Faculty, Staff, Parents, extended Family and Students particpated in this worthy cause. Check out the team page here.
