Cargo-A-Go-Go!
Nine sixth grade students presented at the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration's WaterWays Student Conference on Thursday, June 7. The students have been studying and preparing for this pilot program and have volunteered to postpone their summer vacation to present with
Junior High Science Coordinator and teacher, Ms. Hampton, at this first-ever conference.

Mrs. Paul's First Grade class wanted to buy animals from Heifer International. One enterprising student contributed the proceeds from her lemonade stand of $50.00 to the class' Lenten Fund, bringing their total to $140.00. They decided as a class which animals to buy. Way to go! |

Relay for Life® - The Wheaton Walkers |
The Relay for Life event took place June 2-3 at Redwing Recreational Park in Virginia Beach. Faculty, Staff, Parents, extended Family and Students particpated in this worthy cause. Check out the team page here.

Virginia Beach 2007 and 2008 Water Awareness Calendars |
SOS students, under the tutelege of art teacher, Mrs. Carlson, participated in the Virginia Beach Water Awareness Calendar contest. Four students art works were selected for the calendar. They met Mayor Meyera Oberndorf, received a certificate and a savings bond. View the student's art work here. |
